I believe that Halloween is dangerous and should be outlawed. Children are out running around in the dark, and could get hit by cars. Also, not everyone is nice out there. People used to have to watch out for glass in their candy. A town in Pennsylvania had to cancel Halloween because there were people stealing kids when they were Trick-or-Treating. Halloween could become a very big problem soon, and I think people should stop it while they can.

Halloween is not a dangerous holiday and should not be outlawed. Halloween is a fun holiday and kids should be able to celebrate it. Halloween has been around for a long time and lots of people enjoy it. Even though some people don’t like Halloween that does not mean that it should be outlawed. The people that don’t enjoy Halloween should just not participate in it. Not get rid of it all together. Decorating, dressing up and getting candy is a fun and enjoyable thing for most children. I remember dressing up and having fun on Halloween as a little kid and I would not want other kids to miss out on that. Halloween is not a dangerous holiday and should not be outlawed.

Halloween is not dangerous and should not be outlawed. If Halloween was outlaw kids would not be able to get free candy and dress up in a costume. Kids parents who can’t buy extra thing’s like candy is a chance for them to go out and get candy. If Halloween was outlawed kids on Halloween wouldn’t get to have fun with friends and get candy. Every little kid would be mad if Halloween was outlawed.

Halloween is not dangerous and it should not be outlawed. Halloween has been a tradition done by families all over the world for ages. I think that Halloween should not be outlawed because it is something fun for kids of any age to do. The excitement of getting a new scary costume and getting lots of sweet candy is just what the kids enjoy most. If you outlawed Halloween so many people would be devastated. When it comes to Halloween it’s something for the whole family to do together, the costume shopping, trick or treating, and eating candy is a fun way for families to bond. Halloween is also fun for the younger children because this is the one time of year that they get to dress up in whatever costume they want and go door to door with a parent getting candy.

I believe that Halloween is not a dangerous holiday and should not be outlawed. It a fun holiday that kids enjoy across the country. On the opposing side it is said that Halloween is too dangerous. I think that could be true of many celebrations, it just depends on how people act about it. If Halloween were to be banned, most likely it wouldn’t stop many tricksters from performing scares on October thirty-first. Companies that specialize in costumes and Halloween props would go out of business. In my eyes there’s nothing wrong with this tradition, connecting our world to that of the spirits.

Halloween is dangerous and it should be outlawed. Halloween is dangerous because strangers are giving you candy. You don’t the person who gave you the candy and they could have done something to it. Like poisoned it and that could harm you. It should also be outlawed because kids can get kid napped by walking around at night. Some kid’s egg houses and cars which is property damage and you can get arrested for it.

Halloween is not dangerous and should not be outlawed. Halloween is a great time of the year for all ages to go out and have fun with friends and family. Kids usually trick or treat with friends to enjoy the night and get candy to get away from all the homework in life. Kids have a great time going out and people think that they need to be careful with cars but the kids are on the side of the road going to houses that aren’t even close to the road. People say that some costumes are “offensive and scare people from dressing up like zombies” but that’s what Halloween is all about!

EamonFA2B2 said...

Halloween is not dangerous and should not be outlawed. Halloween is awesome and is a great opportunity for kids to get out of their houses. It is also really fun and is a great experience. Kids usually go with their friends, which is a great time to do so. Some people think that kids need to watch out for cars, but I think that people driving cars need to watch out for kids. Kids don’t usually walk in the middle of the road anyway. The people that think Halloween is dangerous can keep their kids inside and not have them go trick or treating. If Halloween is banned, then it would make so many people very disappointed. Some people think some costumes are offensive, but kids should be able to where what they want.

MeiLin W AB2 said...

Halloween is not dangerous and is should not be outlawed because nothing bad really ever happens on Halloween. There used to be bullying and other kids stealing or taking little kids candy but no one really dose that any more. Most kids don’t do that because little kids go out with parents or adults now. Most of the older kids that probably stole other kids’ candy don’t go out on Halloween to go trick or treat anymore anyways. Also lots of older kids think that it’s lame to go trick so they would stay home and give out candy to little kids instead of treating on Halloween.

Zach P. A2B2 said...

It is also a great opportunity for kids to get out of their houses. Halloween is really fun and is a great experience. Kids get to pick up some extra candy that they might not get the rest of the year. If Halloween is outlawed that would be a disappointment to some kids because it’s the one day of the year where they get to hang out with their friends and pick up some extra candy.

Halloween is not dangerous and should not be outlawed. Halloween give’s people time to spend with friends and families and time to have fun at Halloween parties. A lot of kids live in a safe town and a lot of the people know each other. When kids go trick or treating they are with a parent and they either have a glow stick or a flash light. Not a lot of people stay out over the time of 8 o’clock so there is stay some day light in the sky to be able to see if there are any cars coming. This is why I think Halloween should not be outlawed.

AudreyRA2 said...

Halloween is not dangerous and it should not be outlawed. Kids need to take a brake from video games and staying inside all the time. They need to get out more have fun. Go out with their friends and have a good tine. Kids should have a fun life because when you get older you can’t have that mush fun as you use to. They can wear costumes of what they want to be and just have fun and eat candy and get a sugar rush aka all day long. So what if you have to put up with their sugar high, it is totally worth it. If you outlaw Halloween you will be crushing big and little kid’s dreams of having fun and going on a sugar high. That is why I strongly believe that Halloween should not be balled or outlawed or your crushing little kids dreams of hope and having fun.

Halloween gives kids the ability to express there creativity.Schools do Halloween Parties and parades so kids can have fun. A lot of people throw Halloween parties all around the globe they also do haunted houses. Most kids like the idea of getting spooked because it’s Halloween and Halloween is all about the fun. Some people like how TV channels do Halloween marathons like “AMC” does fear fest which is scary movies like “Nightmare on Elm Street” and even “Disney” does Halloween shows and makes episodes of shows that are all about Halloween. I don’t think Halloween should be banned a lot of people celebrate it.

Halloween is not dangerous and it should not be outlawed. Halloween is great. Halloween is a time of year when you can just be yourself. You have the option to make a costume or buy one. Also, who doesn’t like candy when it is Halloween you can go out have fun and even get free candy!!! It is a great way to just get out of the real world and have fun with your friends. So, I don’t know why anybody would ever want to take fun away from the children? Halloween could also be a tradition so family members from other country’s could come on Halloween to see there family.

Brian B A2 said...

Halloween is not dangerous and should not be outlawed. Halloween is a time for kids to go out and dress however they want to get candy. Halloween makes memories for little kids and parents. Halloween lets kids be kids and have fun. The one night of the year where you may be having candy for dinner. Halloween is when you can scare people and have fun with it.

Halloween should not be outlawed and is not dangerous. It gives kids free candy and good exercise while they are trick or treating. It is very fun to go with friends and family and be able to socialize. Halloween is really a holiday for the children to enjoy. They can socialize with family and friends while they get excersize.

Jenna M A2B2 said...

Halloween is not dangerous and it should not be outlawed. Kids have been trick-or-treating for many years and we have only started to worry about outlawing it in the past few years. Halloween is meant to scare people. It’s fine if kids dress up in scary costumes and have fun because that is what it is all about. If they outlawed Halloween they would ban costumes, getting candy, and even decorating your own lawn. It’s your lawn you should be able to do what you want to it. Lastly, Halloween is only one night every year and people should be able to have fun and get candy. The people that want to outlaw Halloween should just let the kids and families have fun for one night.

CelinaT/A2B2 said...

Halloween is not dangerous and should not be outlawed. I believe this statement because, Halloween is just a day for kids to get together with their friends, get candy, and have fun! As long as kids and their parents go in neighborhoods that they can trust, and also know is very safe, the day can become safe and fun! People say that dressing up is very dangerous, but if you think it’s all fake, and imaginative. This is very good because kids like to use their imagination and this one day is the day they can show others what they imagine. This is why I strongly believe Halloween should not be outlawed.

Kristen T. A2 said...

Halloween is not dangerous and it should not be outlawed. People aren’t not going to get scared over costumes and decorations because they know it’s not real because it’s Halloween. The parents of the children go with the children and they keep them out of the road. Yes some parents drop there kids off and some don’t stay with them, but that is not a reason to ban the whole holiday all together. You can out a ban on letting the children go out by themselves, put people on the street watching and making sure the parents are with the children. If the people don’t want to out up with the expensive candy then they just don’t participate. They just turn off their lights and children don’t come, simple as that. Halloween is a day where children express themselves in costumes, and have fun.

NicolinaRA2 said...

Halloween is not dangerous and it should not be outlawed. Halloween costumes are for fun but New York legislator thinks they are offensive but none of the monsters were real! People says that little kids are going to get hurt because they just run out in the middle of the road to the houses in my experience they do that. Not a lot of people complain that candy and customs are expensive. You don’t have to buy customs you can make them too. “Halloween is dangerous kids are out there taking candy from strangers” you came check it candy before eating it.

OliviaBA2B2 said...

Halloween is not dangerous and it should not be outlawed. Some people believe that most children’s costumes are offensive and that they should be banned, but what is the point in tricking if you can’t dress up to do it, adding more effect to the scare? I agree that it can be dangerous, though the people who are against Halloween are over thinking the truth. It may be risky to have children running in the street through the night, but now that the world is getting more dangerous, parents are staying with their children until they are much older than years past. I believe that it is rash to ban a child loved holiday just because of a few cons, there is one huge pro that can out run all of the other cons, children’s happiness. Candy may be expensive, but it is so kids can have fun and if some house holds can’t afford candy, they just don’t participate. Halloween is a good and fun holiday that children should be able to enjoy, for they are only young for so long.

ElijahWa2b2 said...

Halloween is not dangerous and should not be outlawed. It should not be outlawed because for some people they have fun decorating going into haunted houses a lot of people also have fun dressing up in costumes. Some people enjoy being scared on Halloween like at hunted houses. Plus wearing costumes and masks aren’t that dangerous on Halloween. There are also not a lot of cars out on Halloween. This is why Halloween should not be canceled.

Trinity M A2B2 said...

Halloween is dangerous and should be outlawed because kids can get hurt if they are by themselves they will get kidnapped or they could get hit by a car. Kids these days don’t pay attention to things like that. If they are alone they can get hurt. If they are with a parent it’s different. Parents can protect their children and they are also safe. Kids are always safe with a parent because they are never left alone .A parent must stay with their child all times. If they don’t and they leave their child alone and not in the same spot when they get back that means that they got kidnapped, or they went back home ,or they went to look for their parent.

Halloween is not dangerous and should not be outlawed. It is a time when kids get to live their fairy tail, or be their favorite charter from their favorite book or movie. They can express them selves and have fun because nobody can judge them. Also many adults love decorating and or dressing up for this amazing holiday. So even if you ban this holiday their will be people fighting for it.

Halloween is not dangerous and should not be banned. I think that Halloween is just a day to have fun. It’s not every day you get to dress up and get to eat candy within the busy school year. I also think it’s a little too much having to pay a fine for putting out Halloween decorations out; it’s just there way to express them selves. I would get it if it was something inappropriate, or if someone vandalized a house. I think that you should be able to wear what you want, like isn’t that the spirit of Halloween. It may be dangerous to go trick or treating alone, but would you wouldn’t just leave your house and trick or treating. I don’t think parents would even let their children go out alone.

Halloween is dangerous but should not be outlawed. Halloween is a fun time for kids to hang out with friends and family, dress up, and get candy. Children 12 and under should have a parent with them to be sure they don’t run into the road or knock on someone’s door that is asleep. Kids older than that should take precautions and be careful so then they can keep Halloween! If the kids are bad the government won’t want to keep Halloween and think of it completely unsafe. Halloween should continue.

Halloween is not dangerous and should not be outlawed. I think Halloween is a fun time for us kids to express our selves, be what we want to be, and get candy for our effort. I also think it is fun to see all of the costume kids come up with. I understand that there are some kids that like go around on Halloween and vandalize, put that is how they express their selves. Hat is how they make Halloween fun for them even though it is wrong.

Halloween can be dangerous but should still be allowed. I think we should have people stay on the roads and keep dangerous things from happening. If someone does try to cause danger then they should have to go back to there house. Even though it can be dangerous it should still be allowed because kids get to have fun and get to hang out with their friends. Kids should get to enjoy Halloween, so it should continue.

Halloween is not dangerous and shouldn’t be outlawed. One reason that it shouldn’t be outlawed is that it is only one day of the year this happens. Also it’s a fun day for little kids and older kids. I think it’s a little dangerous because kidnapping could happen. Parents should watch their kids more often so kidnapping wouldn’t occur.

Halloween is dangerous but should not be outlawed. It is the one night of the year when kids go out and get free candy and hang out with friends. If you are in a nice neighborhood you will be safe and not be kidnapped or anything else dangerous but if you’re in the city or in a bad neighborhood you could be kidnapped or harmed in many ways. Most kids have their parents go with them, well the parents go with them to keep them safe which is good irresponsible parents who let their kids go off alone will end up most likely to be kidnapped or harmed but mostly in bad neighborhoods good ones are safe but you would want parents just to be safe. Halloween should always be a holiday and should be enjoyed. 

Halloween is not dangerous and should not be outlawed. This holiday is a night where kids can dress up and get candy. This is also a night that they can “met and greet” friends and family. I don’t think that this is a bad holiday but kids should be a little more careful. Halloween is not dangerous and therefore should not be outlawed.

MariahS. C2E2 said...

Halloween is NOT dangerous and should NOT be outlawed. Kids look forward to this holiday and like to dress up as different creatures. Halloween should NOT be outlawed because it would ruin kid’s inspiration to make costumes and have fun. Also, when kids dress up in their costumes and walk around their neighbor hood they get rewarded with candy for the creativity of their costumes. It is also a time for kids to be them selves. The kids go in their own neighbor hood so you know the people you are getting candy from. So there is no badness is the Halloween, or as some people say, All Hallows Eve.

RebekahCC2E2 said...

Halloween is not dangerous and should definitely not be outlawed. Halloween is a holiday where kids get free candy and prizes. Kids get to express themselves in a creative way by making or buying fun costumes. Who cares if the candy is expensive, people get the pleasure of making kids big and small smile. People over the age of 15 should not be allowed to trick-or-treat because they would do obnoxious things like toilet papering and egging houses. Just because of teenagers, Halloween should not be banned for everyone. That is why I think that Halloween should not be banned.

It is a very creative holiday and you get rewarded with candy. If they do ban Halloween a lot of people will be very angry. They will be very angry because, well, who doesn’t like free candy once in a while. These are some reasons why I believe Halloween should not be outlawed.

Halloween is dangerous but should not be outlawed. Halloween is fun but some people are extremely dangerous. People run recklessly in the road and pay absolutely no attention to what they are doing and run right in front of cars. Other kids stay on the grass between the houses and follow the rules and do not run recklessly in the roads. It is very fun to get candy and eat it. Some parents like looking at the costumes. Halloween may be dangerous but we can work on that with parents supervising. Finally Halloween should not be outlawed.

Halloween is not dangerous and should not be outlawed. Halloween is a time for fun and to get together with friends and family. It’s when kids get to be different then usual. It is when kids get candy, have fun and meet new people. They should not outlaw Halloween. Halloween is when kids can have fun dressing up in costumes and get a good scare and a few laughs. So don’t band Halloween you would be letting many people down if you are thinking about getting rid of Halloween.

Halloween can be dangerous if you’re not careful. One thing that is very important to do on Halloween is that you have to watch for cars, and you should know where you are so you’re not lost and can get back home. Halloween should continue because it’s a time e for kids, and adults to go out and have some fun. You just have to take precaution on where to go or who you are with. I don’t think Halloween should be taken away from everyone because some of the people that are not careful, and not paying any attention of their surroundings, so let it just say that it’s their faults on their own lives if something bad happens to that one individual.

TristanSC2E2 said...

Halloween is dangerous and should not be outlawed. For kids from 5 to 12 years old its fun but for older kids I think they just mess around. Some teenagers can possibly put poisoning in your candy and can hurt someone. Some people can have weapons on them that you don’t know about. Some cars could be driving recklessly and could get some people crossing the road hurt. I don’t think it should be outlawed because its fun for some kids and I want them to keep having fun.

MichaelL C2E2 said...

Halloween is not dangerous and should not be outlawed. I believe that Halloween is a time for kids to dress up in costumes and receive candy. This holiday supports all ages from teenagers to toddlers. Also, banning this holiday would be a little extreme seeing that kids love getting candy for free. Lastly, if the parents don’t mind giving out candy, then it isn’t a problem.

RebekahZC2E2 said...

Halloween is dangerous, but should not be outlawed. Halloween may have its downsides, but solutions can be arranged. Halloween is a good distraction from pressure in school, and can help students relax. Also, Halloween is a time where kids can just have fun. Creating a law that states you can’t put up decorations is the same thing as saying, “You can’t even think about Halloween.” Yes, kids do tend to run out onto the road, but instead of destroying Halloween, the government should create a law that says kids can’t go trick-or-treating without a flashlight and an adult. Halloween may be annoying for some adults who wish to save money, but for kids, Halloween is a part of childhood, something kids grow up with. The government wouldn’t ban Halloween if they knew its sentimental value.

CaterinaBC2 said...

Halloween is dangerous yet should not be outlawed. I think this because Halloween can be dangerous with kids egging and throwing bathroom tissue all over houses. But we can make laws and that will stop that right away. Halloween is one of the only times that children can express themselves, dress up and get treats that they may not be able to get all the time. It would make so many children upset if Halloween were to be outlawed. CaterinaB C2

Candy wouldn’t be a problem if they limited their candy amounts checked their candy and made sure they took extra care to their teeth. Why would children have to give up their holiday because of their parents? The adults could have fun too.

Halloween is not dangerous and should not be outlawed. Halloween is a fun day celebrated one day a year where kids get to dress up and get free candy. One problem with Halloween is cavities…they are horrible. A way we can stop cavities from happening is that parents just make sure that their kids don’t eat too much candy and that they brush their after eating candy then we can cross cavities of the list of bad things from Halloween. I think that parents should go trick-or-treating with their kids and check their candy before they eat then everyone would be safe on Halloween.

TrevorCC2E2 said...

Halloween is not dangerous and should not be outlawed. Halloween is a fun time of year to go with friends and dress up how ever you want. You can get all the candy you want. A New York Legislator from the Daily Times says that “Candy is expensive.” Then lower the prices of candy! They are small little pieces of amazing treats. Kids get to have fun, eat good candy and have a good time. People say that law makers are “Just looking for a scapegoat to get peoples’ minds off other hot topics.” I completely agree with that. We have more important things to worry about than to ruin kid’s fun. People also say that candy leads to obesity, and bad nutrition. Okay so that’s true, however candy is delicious. Kids shouldn’t worry about bad nutrition yet; if they do they can cut down onto maybe two pieces of candy a day or something like that. So I don’t think politicians should outlaw Halloween and worry about other things.

ErickHC2E2 said...

Halloween should be outlawed. Because about a year ago I’ve saw on the news that a kid got kidnapped on Halloween and nobody seen who did it because the kidnapper was wearing a mask. Just imagine what his parents felt of what happened. Also people are buying expensive five pound candy bars to give out for free. And kids are run in front of cars and risking getting hit for what, a piece of candy. As a result of eating all that candy they get a sugar rush and gain weight if they got a lot. And some people get bullied if they are to poor to afford costumes and candy let alone have food on the table for there family. In conclusion people should agree that Halloween should be outlawed.

JessicaB C2E2 said...

Halloween is only dangerous for kids who make it dangerous. Most kids are responsible when they go trick or treating and can go alone. Younger kids usually are accompanied by an adult. The kids trick or treating are mostly fine except those few who are misbehaved, and those few kids are always misbehaved and always ruin everything for the majority of the kids who are good. You need to ask yourself if it’s really fair to punish those kids again and for something really important to them. Also do you really think strangers would do something to the candy? It has never happened before, why would it start now? Also some people say buying candy is expensive, but they must know that you don’t have to give out candy on Halloween, as someone who has gone trick or treating before I know that some of the houses don’t give out anything. theses problems can easily be avoided and if we try harder then they wont happen, so why kill Halloween?

Halloween is dangerous and it should be outlawed. Little kids run around getting candy from strangers and have to check it after. You should not have to check to eat something and have it still be bad for your health while the risk that is DRUGGED. It allows kids to stay up late and make offensive costumes and get candy from someone that could kidnap them and never see there parents again. I disagree that there should be a time to stop and age it should be outlawed it is a dangerous an offensive holiday that should not be celebrated.

Halloween is not a dangerous or bad holiday. Halloween is a day that happens once a year where kids can get free candy and have fun dressing up in a costume. It allows children to have fun with their friends and it also gets them up and exercising by walking through their neighborhood. This also can give kids a chance to explore their unused or even untouched imagination. Halloween should be a requirement for kids to learn the history of because it is old and full of knowledge. People should be allowed to decorate their lawns because they have the decision to decorate it or not. Outlawing decorating lawns is just stupid because people should be allowed to do what they want to their lawn as long as it is not violent or can hurt or kill someone. Candy may be expensive ,but to some adults it is worth seeing a smile on their children’s faces.

Halloween should not be outlawed. It is not dangerous. Some people like to make stupid choices and go run in traffic. I think if you’re 13 you should be able to trick or treat with friends. Being 12 or younger to trick or treat with friends and family but at least have an adult with you. Yes in this world today I would be afraid to go alone, I mean if a van that said free candy, would you take it? No exactly but, if someone came out of the open said come trick or treat at my house you should have the common sense to say no.

I do see the danger in it but it should not be banned because a couple of people ruin Halloween for all of us. Most kids just go out and have some fun and get candy, most of us are not egging houses or involved in vandalism on Halloween. I believe that Halloween and Trick or Treating should remain and should not be banned; it is fun to go door to door and get candy and is not hurting anyone.

Halloween is not a dangerous holiday and should not be banned by America. There are a lot of good things that can happen during this holiday. For example you have the opportunity to hang out with your friends and run and joke around. I think that it is safe also because there is houses right next to each other and they can keep an eye on you while you run around and receive candy from people. The only reason peoples houses get egged and houses are covered with toilet paper is because of the irresponsible older kids who shouldn’t be allowed to go trick or treating. The age requirement for trick or treaters should be from as young as you want (if younger have a parent with you) through 14.

Marissa G I2 said...

Halloween should be kept a holiday for many reasons. For one if parents are worried about their children then they should go with their kids to make sure they are safe and if they are still worried then they should wait until their kids are older or just keep them from going Trick-or-Treating. There is no reason to ban the whole holiday just for that one reason. Halloween is also a time not just for candy, but a time for celebrating the people that have passed, like the day of the dead in Spain, and also just to have fun. So, for those reasons Halloween should be kept a holiday so the children can enjoy it.

NicoDI2 said...

Halloween is not dangerous and should not be outlawed. Even though kids are getting candy from strangers, they are usually taught by their parents not to eat open or exposed pieces of candy. People in cars should be more careful during Halloween, not the kids. Kids love Halloween, and if people take this holiday away, kids will want to trick or treat even more. In some places, decorating for Halloween is illegal. There is nothing bad about putting gravestones on lawns and hanging witches from trees. Taking Halloween away from kids is a rash decision and is taking away their happiness.

Halloween shouldn’t be outlawed. Halloween isn’t dangerous and is fun because you get to go out and get candy for free! Even though that people dress up in “scary” costumes it shouldn’t scare people because they should know that people will ware what they do because it is what they like and its there body and they should get the right to dress how the want . Plus it is only for a couple hours and it’s not like the costumes are killing people because there so scared and it is fun for the younger kids that are 2,3,4,5,6,7and older kids like to go out and hang out with there friends and family and get free candy from total strangers. Even though egging and T-P-ing peoples houses it’s not nice but older kids go to parties with there friends just to hang around. Scene it is only for ne day in the year is shouldn’t get banned because it doesn’t do much harm.

Halloween is not dangerous and it should not be outlawed. Halloween is a great holiday because kids have fun Trick or Treating. Kids have fun because they get candy and get to hang out with there friends. Halloween is also safe because kids are usually in groups and the houses are next to each other so the parents can keep an eye on the kids. I think that kids older than 16 can not go Trick or Treating because they are the ones who egg houses and throw toilet paper at peoples houses.

Halloween is not dangerous and should not be outlawed. It has been going on for many past years, and just because there might be a slight more increase of danger than every day, doesn’t mean we should ban it. The fact that kids have a “higher risk” of being hit by cars is no more danger than every day. Sure, there are more kids, but there are fewer cars because adults that drive at all are likely to be out trick or treating themselves! The idea that candy is expensive and kids are gaining obesity is unnecessary; a bag of candy isn’t making anyone obese.

AnthonyDI2 said...

Halloween is dangerous but, should not be outlawed. Kids need to be safer about strangers and cars almost hitting them. They should go with their parents so there is less of a chance that they will get hit by a car. Some kids are looking forward to Trick or Treating because it may be the only time their allowed to eat candy all year. Halloween is also a time to spend time with friends and family. For these reasons Halloween should be kept a holiday but, should have laws against vandalism and going without adult supervision.

JesseCI2 said...

Halloween is dangerous but should not be outlawed. I think that they should make stricter rules like no Trick or Treating after 9 or, walk on the side of the road. Even though some people don’t like Halloween, doesn’t mean other people don’t. This is something kids prefer to do, not adults they don’t Trick or Treat, as far as I have seen. There definitely should be more rules added but, then there are some that should be disbanded. It is also a time for kids to be creative, to make their own costumes out of clothes and other materials. Everyone knows that candy is not healthy that is why some people buy popcorn and pretzels for Halloween but it is still something almost everyone likes. Plus kids go walking around for hours just to get candy, it is healthy to do that but not for the addiction. There are still things people should change, but if anything, Halloween should not be one.

I think that Halloween is not dangerous and therefore, should not be outlawed. Even though some aspects of Halloween are a bit dangerous, they can always be prevented. For example, kids Trick or Treating in the dark could always be supervised by adults. Also, candy is in most cases can be somewhat expensive, but you could give out an alternative “treat” such as plastic spider rings or Halloween stickers that the kids can wear on their costume. I do not think that putting an age limit on Trick or Treating is such a good idea because some kids might not have grown out of the excitement of getting dressed up and going out with friends or family. I agree to a limitation to decorations because some décor might be a little scary to little kids who could be out and about such as, pop up clowns and witches swinging from trees. But, not all decoration is bad. In conclusion, Halloween should not be banned because of how long it goes back.

I think Halloween is a very necessary holiday because it is one day when children get to express their personalities. The children get to show their personalities and the get to use all of the energy that they have stored from that day. Many people think Halloween is dangerous but most children walk with their parents so there is a small chance of them getting hurt. Children who go Trick or Treating alone are at more risk of getting hurt but most people go with adults or older children. I do not think Halloween should be outlawed it just is a day to show their own personalities.

I think Halloween isn’t dangerous and shouldn’t be outlawed. Halloween is a very fun day for kids. The kids get to dress up and get candy. It is a good way for the kids to be creative, and dress up for fun. Children are able to express who they are and show their creativity. Halloween can be bad if you make bad decisions. If you are 11 or younger you should have an adult with you. If you are 12 or older you should be allowed to go with just with your friends. Halloween is a nice holiday and they should allow it.

Halloween is not dangerous and it should not be outlawed. It is a holiday for kids to dress up and have fun. People complain that candy is too expensive, but they could just not hand it out. It is not necessary to ban Halloween or have restrictions, such as curfew and age limits because people over 11 still like to trick or treat, so it is unfair to them. Halloween also gives kids the opportunity to be creative and dress up however they want. That should be encouraged, not taken away.

Halloween is not an annoying holiday and should not be outlawed. It is only one day a year when anyone can feel free to dress up and be whatever they want—even if that just happens to be zombies and creatures. As for cavities, obesity and bad nutrition; it is only one day a year (like I just said)—certainly no one could get a cavity from one night of candy. One New York legislator says that, “Kids don’t watch out for cars, they just dart out in front of them.” The last thing that Trick or Treaters want is to be hit by a car; I highly doubt anyone would be so careless as to jump in front of one. Having one holiday where dressing up and asking for candy isn’t wrong should be alright. There are not enough facts on the other side to say otherwise, and like I have said before: it’s only one day out of a whole year. Halloween is a holiday to be kept!

EmmaG I2 said...

Halloween is not dangerous and it shouldn’t be outlawed but, it should be changed. For one when teens dress up and go Trick-or-Treating that’s not right because when you finally get to the house there’s not candy because all of the teenagers took it all. Teenagers should not go Trick-or-Treating. Children around 1-13 should go Trick-or-Treating with their parents so they can be safe. In Spain Halloween was it all started what they did was they had candy and they had a picnic in a graveyard were there people celebrate for people that have died but, they feel grateful. Trick-or-Treating today is to be grateful of all of the people that have died like they did in Spain.

I think Halloween should not be outlawed and is not dangerous. Children have fun on holiday’s like this they especially have fun on Halloween because they get candy. Some children go Trick or Treating with there parent or another child that is responsible for the children they are with. If that parent does not want there children to go Trick or Treating because of any reason that parent can keep them home. I do not think Trick or Treating is dangerous they can get over the few things that can cause any consequents and it can be a fun night for children.

Halloween is not dangerous and should not be outlawed. You have got to be joking. If Halloween is canceled what use will costumes be? Many stores will go out of business. And decorations like pumpkins get fined that’s Wright no carving pumpkins and building up memories with friends and family, No enjoying a little fun with costumes and maybe a few Kit Kats. Nope none of that if the government keeps thinking about themselves and distracting people from the real problems. Looks like just tricked us out of a big treat.

EmmaLee M. said...

Halloween can be dangerous at times but still should not be outlawed. People are moving towards banning trick-or-treating, dressing up, or even decorating your yard. “Kids do not watch out for cars…” says a New York legislator, but that’s really not true most kids parents actually watch their children and don’t let them roam around in the streets. “Furthermore,” he goes on to say, “their costumes are offensive. Dressing up like zombies and creatures! They scare people out of their wits.” First off all, grown adults should know enough that it’s just a child in a costume and there’s nothing to be scared of at all. And second of all, kids are just having fun and the government shouldn’t want to take that away from them. Even though Halloween could be dangerous and a little scary it should not be nationally outlawed.

Halloween is a little dangerous, but should not be outlawed. Halloween should not be outlawed because it is a holiday were people get to dress up and be anything they want, it’s a holiday were they get to express themselves. Another reason why they shouldn’t ban Halloween is because kids enjoy getting candy and eating it because they like it, and its always a heartwarming feeling when you get to see your kid with a smile on their face. New York legislator says that Halloween is a pointless holiday because people just go around getting candy, and scaring people out of their wits. However that’s what Halloween is all about though. Halloween is a little dangerous because some people are bad and put things in the candy to hurt you in a way. However when your done trick or treating your parents always check your candy for things like that. so yes Halloween is a little dangerous, but it shouldn’t be outlawed.

JosephS said...

Halloween shouldn’t be outlawed because. Halloween is a fun time of year when kids get to dress up as anything they want and get free candy I mean sure it’s from strangers but that’s why your parents are there to make sure there is nothing wrong or suspicious about your candy. I think that people are being greedy and selfish because Halloween is a fun and happy holiday to kids and it’s a (little to no purpose holiday) what is that even suppose to mean?. Halloween is one of the best holidays there is during the year and to suggest that taking it away is going to make this economy any better. What will make this economy better is no homeless people or less kids being rejected by there parents. That’s what will make this economy better but still back to Halloween. They say they don’t know where Halloween originated from so in that case one of our famous presidents could have made it for some reason or it could honor the people who died at war to save the country and Halloween is the time of the month they get to visit the living and there family even though we cant see them they could still be here with us on that particular day were suppose to be honoring the one’s who saved the country billions of time’s by throwing away there holiday?. To me that’s not a lot of respect and im sure everyone else will agree with me when I say we should preserve Halloween for the future generation not end it because people don’t want out go out and buy the candy or have kids come visit them on Halloween. It shows selfishness, greediness and laziness at least kids are up and walking for 2hrs or even higher to get the candy so there losing weight to gain it but still at least were exorcising not sitting on our porch waiting for someone to come around with a bag and ask for candy

Halloween is not dangerous and it should not be outlawed. Kids can dress up and be anything they want for Halloween. Kids look forward to go trick or treating with friends and family, so why take that away from them. Its one the one day out of the year that kids can be their favorite superhero or princess. Halloween is a holiday to be creative; decorating outside of your house with skeletons, graves and pumpkins is a way of being creative, outlawing that would make some people made and angry. Some people don’t mind buying candy for the kids and handing it out to the kids. Parents are with their children and watching every move they make to make sure nothing happens to them and to keep them safe. Halloween is not dangerous and should not be outlawed.

Halloween is dangerous, but not dangerous enough to be outlawed and considered a crime to trick or treat. Their can be limits though I admit the one night when your parents say go say hi to a Stranger and they will give you candy is a bit crazy. I think children should be supervised when trick or treating, there should also be age limit from 5-12, and it should stop at the teen age. But if you don’t Halloween and want it to be banned because you are sick of buying candy and answering the door then you just don’t like it so stop pointing fingers at the American tradition of Halloween.

Halloween is dangerous, but it should not be outlawed. Parents should watch there little kids more then there older kids because there more mature. Also the people that are scared of the zombie and creature costumes should just ignore them and stay in there homes. Not every body has to buy candy; the people that want to buy candy should be able to give it out on Halloween. Halloween is only once a year, its not twice a year or more. Halloween is not always dangerous; it all depends on the community. If there are good kids, bad kids, good parents, bad parents

Halloween is not dangerous and should not be outlawed. Anyone up to the age of 17-18 should be allowed to trick-or-treat. Halloween lawn decorations are harmless, and imposing bans on them would be like putting a ban on no wreaths outside during Christmas. People want to have their decorations to show their Halloween spirit. Costumes let kids express themselves and parades are ways to show their costumes off. Candy is a bit expensive, but if people are only buying it once a year it’s not going to be a problem. Candy can cause cavities, but if kids brush their teeth afterwards, it wouldn’t hurt. As long as older kids and teenagers didn’t scare little kids by sneaking up on them or jumping out at them it would be safe for everyone. There is the risk of being hit by cars, but if children are supervised, like they should be, it would not happen.

In my opinion I don’t think Halloween should be banned or outlawed. Some people say that Halloween is more bad than good. Obesity doesn’t happen to kids because of Halloween it happens because of there eating and exercise habits. Most kids also wouldn’t want to eat all there candy at once because they would want to make it last for a while. “on top of that candy is expensive. Nobody wants to buy it and give it out.” Declares New York legislator. Well that’s not always the case there is lots of candy at the dollar store, rite aid and Wal-Mart. All for less the three dollars a bag. Halloween might be a little dangerous but so is walking across the street.

Halloween is one of the most fun holidays, and some people want to outlaw it…YAAAA RIGHT!!! Even though it’s a little dangerous, 85- 90 percent of the USA trick or treats, and those people who want outlaw trick or treating think again, if you do that it’s like taking away kids freedom, and adding the chance to kid’s depression, us kids look forward to getting bags and bags of candy so we CAN MAKE IT RAIN!!! Trust me banning Halloween is a bad choice, for the 3rd time its really what kids look forward to do after 2 ½ months of school Halloween is what we look for in a holiday, lots of fun, food, and being with friends.

EmmaCA1 said...

Halloween should not be outlawed, it is a way for kids to hang out with friends and have a good time. Candy is just a big plus. The new law suggestion is injudicious and I think it should not be approved. That would mean no one could even decorate their front lawn. I mean...come on! In the article it says that the costumes some kids wear are offensive, like zombies. If that’s so offensive why is “The Walking Dead” allowed on TV? People are saying kids have enough electronics and don’t need to go trick or tricking. Well, people are always telling us to get off our phones and go enjoy the fresh air, so tricking or treating is a physical activity on Halloween. The article also states that Halloween will give kids cavities and make them obese. Kids should just brush their teeth. As for obesity, there’s McDonalds isn’t there? There’s half the country’s obesity problem right there. Outlawing Halloween is a rash decision. If you don’t like Halloween, then don’t live in a neighborhood that’s good for trick or treating. Yes, there is a little danger but I mean are we going to outlaw jogging on the streets because the joggers are close to the cars or outlaw going hiking cause you could slip off the mountain.

Halloween is a dangerous holiday but should not be outlawed for kids who are responsible and understand the dangers. Kids talking to strangers and being rewarded for it, cavities, obesity, bad nutrition, vandalism, and bullying, are all problems that come with this holiday. The reason I feel that banning this holiday isn’t necessary is because parents should use common sense and not let their children run around the neighborhood unless they are educated about the dangers of talking to strangers, and are responsible enough to be unwatched by an adult and still be safe. I agree with not letting little kids trick or treat because they will be learning that if you talk to strangers you get rewarded. Then it will be confusing for them if they get in trouble for talking to strangers any other day. I think people should be allowed to decorate their yards with Halloween ornaments to celebrate this holiday because if it is their yard putting up decorations should be their choice.

AbbyW-AB1 said...

Halloween isn’t dangerous if kids learn how to control themselves and act mature and it should not be outlawed because thing like buying candy is ‘expensive’ doesn’t matter because if you don’t want to spend money buying candy don’t buy it, leave a note on your door that says something along the lines of “please do not ring doorbell/knock on door. We’re not giving out candy. Sorry, and be safe”. This is all you have to do, most kids will respect that. When I went trick-or-treating I saw a few of these and I respected their privacy and did as they wished and left. It might be dangerous with kids running around and in front of cars, but that’s only if they’re not mature enough to be out without a parent, and if a parent is with them and they do so the parents should take it upon themselves to discipline their child. Yes it is also a risk of getting candy from strangers, but parents can look over it closely and check to make sure it’s safe for their children. I don’t think Halloween is a ‘bothersome holiday’, it’s a way for everyone (who wants to) to wear a costume without feeling insecure about it, it’s a time for people to show off a little bit whether by making a costume or wearing one based off of a TV show, book, and/or movie. Adults are very stereotypical of kids, all they think they do are sit on the couch and play video games or go on the internet, some kids do that, but not all kids. I could easily be accused of being one of those kids that sit on the couch all day and use the internet but that’s only because on the internet I can be a whole different person. I like doing that, a lot, and on Halloween when I dressed up I felt like I could actually be me. That might not go for all kids/teenagers but in a sense I believe everyone has wanted to be someone different at least once in their lifetime. Halloween let’s kids/teens/adults do that, where they’re someone different, someone new. Candy does help cause cavities, obesity, and bad nutrition but parents let their kids eat all that candy (in big groups, usually), parents should make sure kids brush their teeth, eat healthy foods and exercise more often. Vandalism and bullying do occur, all the time in fact, not just on Halloween, but shouldn’t parents teach their kids bullying and vandalism can sometimes kill people? I think a curfew is fine, but putting an age limit on trick-or-treating is something that I find ridiculous and unneeded. I would like to go trick-or-treating well into my teenage years; some kids aren’t allowed to go trick-or-treating until a certain age. What if when the kid is finally allowed to go trick-or-treating, the kid is ‘too old’ and is not allowed, their dreams would be crushed. I think Halloween shouldn’t be banned or outlawed, it’s not dangerous.

People say they don’t like that Halloween is scary its supposed to be we dress up to be a scary monster we do it because its fun. plus after Halloween candy is half off so there’s something in it for the adults. Well Halloween can be dangerous but kids love it and you wouldn’t want to crush your kids dreams. Taking away Halloween is like telling your kids Santa’s not real or the Easter bunny is really your parents if you want to crush a little kid’s happiness your sick. This is why we should keep Halloween.

Halloween is a fun traditional holiday that should not be outlawed. However, that being said, there are some opportunities for a little danger, but, these risks are easily preventable; like the risk of getting hit by cars that can be prevented be drivers being cautious. Halloween does have an odd concept but, it is fun for most everyone. People really get into their house decorations, and kids look forward to getting candy, sure it is not in a part of a perfect diet, but it’s only once a year. It is very hard to think one day the fun tradition of trick or treating and dressing up could be illegal.

I don’t now why anyone would want to take that away from children. New York legislator declares the Halloween is dangerous. But many things in life are. Like simply crossing the road that’s kids do everyday. So why should one day of costumes and candy be outlawed.

Halloween is not really dangerous and should not be outlawed. If parents keep an eye on the kids there wouldn’t be any problem. Parents should not allow their children to be out too late on Halloween. Children should know not to bully and jump out of bushes to scare people. I think that it’s really stupid that some towns are making people who have decoration on their houses, trees, and yards make them have to pay a fee. My mom makes me squeeze my candy to tell if there’s a hole in it. I brush my teeth after I have a lot of candy or even a little because my dentist told me that it’s a good idea to brush your teeth after eating candy. People think candy is expensive, it is, but you only need to get one bag and it’s only once a year. Some children get obese but not from candy, from fast food restaurants, if you eat candy all year you’re probably going to get obese.

I am quite apposed that anyone would consider outlawing Halloween. October 30, as you all know, is Halloween, for now. Many people believe that Halloween is dangerous. Parents let their children trick or treat at their own risk, if the parents feel that these children cause trouble they shouldn’t let them out alone. Another tradition some towns have outlawed is decorating yards, wow. This is a very unintelligent and brainless act because what harm could decorations really do? The worst they could do is scare someone, I mean come on America! Another unintelligent idea is that candy can lead to obesity and cavities. For the obesity argument I do not think who wrote the idea understand what amount of candy children are consuming. It is only one night and unless children are getting like ten pounds of candy, you really won’t gain that much weight. And if parents were monitoring the tooth brushing situation of their children then no cavities will result. Therefore banning Halloween from the United States, is a very dull and cruel act.

Halloween should not be outlawed because it brings joy to a great number of children. An article in “The Daily Times” states that Halloween is dangerous because strangers are dealing out candy to children. In all likelihood, the recipient of the candy is living in a safe trusted neighborhood. The article also states that Halloween is dangerous because of its origin. Multiple children do not know the origin of Halloween but many kids just appreciate getting candy and dressing up as their favorite character, person, and sometimes food. Halloween is serving the purpose of bringing kids happiness and delicious treats. Although candy can cause many problems in a child’s mouth, it still brings them the joy of Halloween.

People are saying that Halloween is dangerous because you can get hit by a car and you’re getting candy from strangers. Well if you don’t go out driving then it will be less of a risk of getting hit by a car and you know there will be kids out on Halloween so you should drive slower. You should not be getting candy from strangers because you should be trick or treating in your neighborhood where you know the people.

Halloween is not dangerous and should not be outlawed. Halloween is a holiday and always should be a holiday. Halloween is a time for families to dress up and spend quality time with their children. It’s a time for older kids to take a break from everything from school work to social life. Kids need to be able to go out and have fun with their friends safely. At one point parents have to let their child make their own decisions, to let them go on their own. That is the only way they will learn. Are they going to make mistakes? Of course! But they will learn from that experience and they won’t do it again. For little toddlers or even little kids its fun to go up to house’s and get something they enjoy. Candy may be bad for you but will getting a lot of candy one day of the year really hurt us? Little kids enjoy dressing up as creatures, scary people, or princesses, because in some cases they look up to those figures. Are some people really trying to stop kids from following their dreams? Even for older kids they like to dress up who doesn’t? Even some adults like dressing up. It’s fun, yea some people think it’s a waste of time, then they shouldn’t have to be a part of it. Just because some people do not like to dress up or give candy out that doesn’t mean they should ruin it for the people that do. There will always be bad to good, it’s just a part of life.

Halloween is a good time for kids to get creative and show their personality. It is also a fun excuse to decorate your house with creepy decorations. Trick or treating is a great time for you to go outside, and exercise your legs. You might think being in the streets at night isn’t safe, but drivers know there are kids out and are looking carefully. Or, you could go trick or treating somewhere indoors, such as at a nursing home. I think that people of any age should get to go trick or treating, because there is no age limit for having fun. Lots of adults like Halloween too, because it is a good way for them to visit with the neighbors who go around the neighborhood in their costumes. Plus, trick or treating is not the only way to spend the holiday. You can go through a haunted house, go to a costume party, or even just visit family. Halloween should not be banned; it is an exciting and fun holiday.

Halloween is not dangerous and should not be outlawed. People under the age of 14 should be allowed to trick or treat. However, people over the age of 14 should not be allowed to trick or treat. That’s because who wants to give teenagers candy when they can work? Also parents don’t want their kids trick or treating with crazy teenagers that are 16, 17, 18, 19, or even 20 years old. It should not be outlawed because the people that are under 14 can have fun, dress up any way they want, get free candy, and go out with their friends. It’s the one day of the year that all those little kids can be witches, Dorothy, princesses, anything they want. People can just hold it together for that one day. Who would want to give candy to a teenager that is just putting on some dumb costume like just a mask just to get candy? Don’t ruin Halloween for little kids just because of some dumb teenagers. Think again and don’t outlaw Halloween.

Halloween is not dangerous and it should not be banned. Everyone should be able to trick or treat, if it is for a good cause. Maybe instead of keeping all the candy you collect you could donate it to a nursing home or charity. Since people in nursing homes usually don’t have many visitors or family to come talk to them, a kid could come dressed up in a costume and brighten them up and before they left they could give them candy. So why should Halloween be banned?

Halloween should not be outlawed and is not dangerous for these reasons. Kids wait for this opportunity all year to get something enjoyable and delicious for free. Out of 100%, 95% of kids go with an adult or supervisor. The age limit is unacceptable, all ages should be allowed. Halloween is a way to have fun with friends and family and to express yourself with a costume you bought or made yourself. Kids don’t need to worry about cavities if they brush their teeth every morning and in the afternoon. Also kids can be limited to a certain amount of candy each day.

Halloween is not a dangerous and should not be outlawed. Kids around the world enjoy dressing up and walking around. Kids shouldn’t get Halloween taken away from them because it is fun to celebrate. People go trick or treating because they can express themselves. Kids like going trick or treating not only for the candy kids like the lights and decorations. People like carving pumpkins and spending time with their family members. Kids love how they can dress up in creative costumes. This is why Halloween should stay a holiday.

Halloween is not dangerous and should not be outlawed. Children enjoy going up to a person’s house and getting candy. All though it leads to cavities it should be their responsibility to brush their teeth. Without Halloween little kids would be wondering why they aren’t going trickertreating then, people would have to explain to them why. Halloween is a fun way to celebrate; you get to get candy and dress up in a costume. This is why Halloween should not be outlawed from my opinion.

Halloween is a dangerous holiday and should be outlawed. You get to go to random people’s houses and get candy! Kids do not look out for cars and if they are not careful they can get hit. When you are 16 you are able to drive. At 16 you are old enough that you should not be going out trick or treating and should have a job. Candy is not cheep and than you just give it away for free it is just wasting money. The only people that get a profit off Halloween are the costume companies and stores that sell candy. Halloween is a very dangerous holiday.

Halloween is one of the most favorited holidays for kids all across the nation. It is not dangerous and should not be outlawed. When you think about it, kids love candy (especially if it’s for free). The fun of being with friends and/or family is what kids love. Besides Christmas kids wait for Halloween to come every year by counting down days or getting a calendar. If this ban happens, kids will be angry, sad, and most importantly…………… disappointed. Horror gamers or horror movie attics will be disappointed to see the only holiday with jump scares and scary shows and movies are gone and probably will never come back. So does the right thing congress………. veto this right.

Halloween is not dangerous and it should not be outlawed. If Halloween is outlawed it will break kids hearts all around the country. It will also put some candy companies out of business and every one likes candy. And Halloween was a week ago so at least wait till next year. And ether way kids of all ages love Halloween. Halloween is next year so at least wait like I said before.

Halloween definitely, should absolutely not be banned. Children love Halloween and love candy even more, dressing up in a costume and going around their neighbor hood is so much fun. Even pre-teens and teenagers have fun too. 16, 17, and 18 year olds probably shouldn’t be trick or treating, but that doesn’t mean that one kids reach that age they can’t celebrate or pig-out on candy, parties are still an option.
To ban Halloween would just make children sad. October 31st is not a day to be bored, it is not to be a regular old school day, it should be a day children should look forward to.
October 31st is not “October 31st” and it never will be, October 31st is Halloween! Just the thought of banning Halloween and even having a law that says you can’t even decorate your own yard for a fun little holiday makes me sad and probably makes many, many other people sad too.
Yes, Halloween is dangerous, yes candy and costumes are expensive, we all know this but that isn’t what Halloween is about. Halloween is a day when kids get all dressed up in fun costumes, they go outside, walk around their neighbor hoods where everybody should know every body’s name ( so they aren’t going up to some stranger’s house.) Then these children ring the doorbell and scream trick or treat in a fun, giggly way. Then, they get candy! Then they just keep going to people’s doors screaming trick or treat and get more, and more candy! I do think that some teenager’s shouldn’t be trick or treating but that doesn’t mean that we can’t make young children not enjoy it too. Halloween can be dangerous, but that doesn’t mean we have to ban it. So many children love Halloween, lets not ruin it for the rest of the children.

Sorry this is late; I was absent and forgot about it. Personally I think Halloween is a super fun holiday. You get to hang out with your, dress up as anything you want, and most importantly not pay for candy! There for I feel Halloween should most defiantly not be banned. Someone people say “oh, be careful the candy might be poisoned, or something” but that all depends on where you go trick or treating. Every year I go with my friends to this really big neighborhood and get a ton of candy, me and my sister trade pieces we don’t like for pieces we do like with each other. Every kid should get the chance to dress up as there favorite super hero, their idol, or even just a funny costume they like. So Halloween should always and forever be a holiday!!

Halloween is not dangerous and it should not be outlawed. Kids do not go trick or treating just to get candy. Most kids go to express themselves and let their imagination grow. Children want to be creative and use their imagination to think of costumes. If a girl wants to be a cheerleader and a singer, but can not decide what to be, they can combine the ideas to make one costume. They could be a singing cheerleader or a cheerleading singer. The age of trick or treating should not matter because you will be having kids and you would want your children to be happy, so you would dress up with them. When you are a teen, like 16, you have a car and money to buy candy, but you can still go trick or treating. When you get older, it does not matter what age you are. We should allow Halloween because kids need to have a good imagination for the future.

I think Mr. Lagares' creative idea to punish his son for bullying other kids is a good idea. Making his son stand on a street corner and hold up a sign that says, "I'm a bully. Honk if you hate bullies." will help stop bullying because it will teach him how it feels getting embarrassed in public.

I think Mr. Lagares' creative idea to punish his son for bullying other kids is a good idea. Making his son stand on a street corner and hold up a sign that says, "I'm a bully. Honk if you hate bullies." will help stop bullying because his son should’ve learned his lesson. This was a good punishment because he was the one who was humiliating other kids so now his father is showing him how it feels like to be humiliated. Also his father gave him more chances to prove that he won’t do it again. Therefore I think that punishment was a good idea.
