"If I Only Had a Heart" Trimester 2
When a person is sick and needs a new organ, it can take a long time to get one. People have to be put on a special transplant list and may have to wait months or even years before they receive a new organ. However, waiting for someone else to donate their organ could soon be a thing of the past. Scientists are experimenting with bioprinters, printers that use human cells and tissue instead of ink, to print 3-D printed organs! While this may seem like a great idea, some people are afraid of what could happen if 3-D printed organs become a reality.
Pete Basiliere, research director at Gartner says: "These initiatives are well-intentioned, but raise a number of questions that remain unanswered. What happens when complex 'enhanced' organs involving nonhuman cells are made? Who will control the ability to produce them? Who will ensure the quality of the resulting organs?"

I think online school is a good idea but also a bad idea. I think it's a good idea because if you don't have a lot of money you can save money. It is also a good idea because if you like to be independent you should try it. I think it is also a bad idea because you don't see your friends. Lastly if you like to work with a partner it won't work as well. I would not want to use online school because i like to work with my peers.
I think creating 3-D printed organs is a good idea. 3-D printed organs are a good idea because people could need an organ really fast so they need to get an organ as fast as they can. Also every hospital can have a bio-printer so they can make the organ at the hospital instead of waiting a really long time. If an animal or a human needs an organ they can make it there at the hospital fast. So if they can make a bio-printer they will be able to get organs a lot faster. People will be able to be buried without having to donate. If they can make a 3-D Bio-Printer it could change the lives of many more people.

Because the organs will have to be shipped a long way, they could get overheated, frozen then thawed out, dirty and then infected, and get thrown all around the vehicle that is transporting them and break. Mice, bugs, squirrels, and other animals could get near them and take a bite out of the organs. If that happens, the organs will be infected, and cause disease and death. If any of these things happens, 3-D printed organs will have a reverse effect.

I think creating 3-D printed organs is a bad idea. 3-D printed organs are a bad idea because...testing animals would mean to kill countless lives for no reason just to test an animal with origins it does not even need is terrible thing to do wasting a creatures life is pointless to the meaning of mankind if we are to continue with this results could be terrible we would rather would kill life of animals than help mankind by printing origins.
a good idea because it can save people. It will be cheaper because they don't fly.. It is not hard to make with a printer.. They work just like the real thing. It doesn't involve giving up body parts. It wont take a long time to get there. They wont have to wait for it to come in.

I think if we have the right technological advancements we need to perform this task it could be a huge breakthrough in success. One of my reasons are people don’t have the time to get a transplant because the bad organ can affect them in very little time. But if we have 3D transplants are already made, the procedure can start as soon as possible. Also you need a right transplant match, but the doctors can 3D print you the perfect match no doubt about it. This can also save lives, because if someone had a heart attack and really needed to get a heart or organ transplant to live then they could automatically get that transplant.
